Students in my class will do the following today: Journal Warm Up- Is it important for kids today to stay up to date on current events today by reading a newspaper or by using the internet?  Why or why not?  How do you stay up to date on the current events?  Students will review pronouns and all of the types of pronouns and make sure that the noun pronoun packet is complete.  Students will be introduced to adjectives and adverbs today and see how they modify and make writing better Students will complete their packets on adjectives pp. 9-12  WHAT IS NOT DONE NEEDS TO BE DONE AS HOMEWORK

Students will do the following in my class today: Students will get into their Pronoun Groups and continue finding information on their assigned pronoun type.  Students will present their findings to the class as the rest of the class learns and takes notes on the presented pronouns Students will complete 6-8 in their grammar packets

Students will do the following in my class: Journal- "If I had to describe my weekend with one word it would be....................." Everyday Edit-Find all ten errors in the paragraph Pronouns Jigsaw-Each group will use the resources available in class to find information out on their specific pronoun and then they will gather the data and have to teach the class about their respective pronouns.

Students will do the following in my class today: Journal-Describe a time when you outwitted or out performed your rival.  If you have never had this encounter, imagine what the ideal situation would be in accomplishing this. Everyday Edit Quiz-We will take a quiz on a previously done Everyday Edit to check for understanding. Continue Parts of Speech by discussing Nouns and Pronouns and completing our packets on Parts of Speech ​

Students in my class will do the following: Everyday Edit Write about your "High and Low" in your journals.  Be sure to work on complete paragraph form.  Share "High Low" with a partner (A different one than last time) Edit and then collect paragraphs on favorite teacher Begin Parts of Speech with a Quiz (Formative)

Students in my class will: Everyday Edit: Write on "My favorite teacher of all time has to be.................... He/She is my favorite because......... Go over 1. Some high schools require a drug test of those who want to play sports or participate in other school activities. Before adopting this policy, your superintendent has decided to ask students for their opinions. Write to the superintendent stating your opinion. Persuade him/her to agree.  We will go over this by placing our information in a chart.

Students in my class will do the following: Work on writing prompt as warm up. 1. Some high schools require a drug test of those who want to play sports or participate in other school activities. Before adopting this policy, your superintendent has decided to ask students for their opinions. Write to the superintendent stating your opinion. Persuade him/her to agree. Check Paragraphs on Favorite TV show that was for homework. Check for Topic Sentence, Supporting Details, and Conclusion that restates. Go over past group paragraphs and have students fix them to make them better.

Students in my class will do the following: 1) get with a partner and do "high and low" verbally together 2) go back to your desk and you will write down in complete sentences what your partner said.      "Name's high for the weekend was................... It was because..................  In contrast, name's low for the weekend was...............It was because.....................  Based on how x and o happened, you can see that person's name, had both a high and low this weekend.  3) Talk about paragraphs       (conclusions need work!)        (supporting details need to support topic. "NO MICE ON THE BURGER.") 4) Homework:  My favorite television show is..................paragraph.
