Students in my class are to do the following: Vocabulary-Get the correct definitions if they have not gotten them already.   1) Augmenting       V. To enlarge or increase in size, extent, or quantity 2) Boisterous       Adj. Noisily jolly or rowdy. 3) Consort       N. V. A companion, associate, or partner. To associate; to keep company 4) Chide       V. To express disapproval of 5) Dirges       N. A funeral song or tune 6) Heretics       N. Professed believers who maintain religious opinions contrary to those accepted by his or her church. 7) Intercession       N. An interposing or pleading on behalf of another person or a prayer to God on behalf of another. 8)Inundation       N. A flood or an overwhelming 9) Languish       V. To appeal for sympathy by assuming an expression of grief 10) Portentous       Adj. Vocabulary- Students are to find the parts of speech and definitions of the following words and then use each word in a sentence of their creation.   1) Augmenting 2) Boisterous 3) Consort 4) Chide 5) Dirges 6) Heretics 7) Intercession 8)Inundation 9) Languish 10) Portentous Students will complete the DLR by finding all ten errors in their EVERYDAY EDIT paragraphs.  http://www.educationworld.com/sites/default/files/EveryDay%20Edit%20grand%20central%20terminal.pdf Work on Final Drafts/Make sure your paper has been read by at least two other classmates.  Spell check it and grammar check it.   Work on works cited and MLA format.

Students will do the following in my class today: Vocabulary 14-Find the pos, definition, and use each word in a sentence of your creation. 1) Careen 2) Doggedness 3) Exotic  4) Heresy  5) Imminent  6) Infallibility  7) Invalid  8) Iridescent  9) Precariously  10) Reiterate  Students then will take Chapter 10 Quiz over Animal Farm Students will be allowed to make up Quizzes that they have missed up to this point.   Animal Farm Quiz on Thursday.   Begin Boxer favorite character with quotes paper.

Students will take a quiz over chapter 3 in Animal Farm. Students will then read chapter 4 of Animal Farm and fill out the Active Reading Guide for Chapters 1-4 in their reading packets.   Review vocabulary 13 for quiz on Friday.
