This course examines the basic electronics, robotics, and construction design processes from product design through production and quality testing. The course is divided into four phases. The first is the manufacturing & DC phase, students design, model, build, and test a CO2 vehicle. The second digital electronics phase concentrates on learning about AC (residential wiring & digital labs). During the third robotics phase, students design, build and program NXT robots. The fourth phase of the class is construction design. During this phase, students design, model (using 3D Home Architect), and build a scale replica of a residential home.
